The Parish of West Hoathly

The Parish of West Hoathly comprises three separate and different communities, Highbrook, Sharpthorne and West Hoathly all administered by West Hoathly Parish Council and joined by the united benefices of All Saints, Highbrook and St. Margarets, West Hoathly.

Highbrook is a small hamlet to the south of West Hoathly with no shops, bus services or indeed very much else.

Sharpthorne has grown from nothing other than a few farms to now being the largest of the three communities. This growth started with the arrival of the railway in the 1880s

West Hoathly is a community steeped in history with its church dating back to Norman times. The Manor House in the centre of the village is rumoured to be one of the many rural dwellings of one of Henry VIII's former wives.
