On the hottest day of the year so far West Hoathly bowlers turned out to compete for the Mower Cup, one of the annual internal competitions held every year. This was run as a drawn pairs competition, we had a total of 24 entrants giving 12 pairs. They were divided in two Groups, each pair playing a total of 5 games of 5 ends with 3 bowls. The final, played over 3 ends, was between the winners of Group 1 v winners of Group 2. Group 1 winners were Janet Pierce and Karen Glaisher and Group 2 winners were Roger de Brett and Iain Kinnell. We congratulateJanet and Karen for overcoming the men by 2 games to 1 (4:2) and becoming the 2021 holders of the Mower Cup. Well done ladies.
