An excellent result for the Men's National Top Club Team. Dave Dawson was first to win his two wood singles followed by Roy Williams winning the four wood singles. This was followed soon after with a win by the team of four players, Glyn Lyford, Alan Edmonds, Nick Mitchell & Robin Yetman which effectively won the match. The triples team, Chris Champion, Roger de Brett and Guy Hodder stopped playing, because of the win, after 16 ends and were 20-12 up.
