West Hoathly Bowls Club

Congratulations go to our Men's Top Club team who today have beaten White Rock 3-2 in a nail biting game.  All the games were very close but the West Hoathly triples and fours teams, who had taken an early lead, suddenly found themselves level pegging with the White Rock teams.  Unfortunately our triples team lost but the fours, who were level the end of the 17th end, managed to secure a win.  This meant we had won two games and lost 2 games and the decider rested on the pairs team of Gordon and Bill who, on the last end, were level at 18 all.  Therefore, a decider end was played, which our two boys won.  White Rock were very gracious in defeat and wished our team all the best in future rounds.  As the Top Club is a National competition, West Hoathly, who are in the Sussex East group, will now face the winners of the Sussex West group on a neutral green to be decided.  We will let you know where and when this is to be played in case you would like to go and offer your support.
