The John Spriggs team have finished the competition in 4th place out of 6. We had a slow start to the 10-week competition only picking up 8 points in the first four games! Thereafter we pulled our socks up and managed to attain the dizzy heights of 46 points which kept us out of the relegation zone.
We had some good games especially against Buxted where we got 10 points at home and 8 points playing away. We managed to win both home and away at Hurstpierpoint. Burgess Hill, Lindfield and Felbridge proved our undoing, however, there were only two games where we didn’t gain any points.
Team 1 led by Micky had the best overall results winning 6 of 10 games and having a positive points difference, so well done to them.
Personally, I would like to thank all the regular players in each team for turning up every week and fighting to the last bowl; and those of you who kindly stepped up to the mark when we were short. Your support was much appreciated.
There is a team photo, but sadly Micky could not be with us for the last game when it was taken. We wish him well soon.
